Our Mission

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Peoria, is a ministry inspired by Christ’s love and care, committed to serve Christ’s Mystical Body by upholding the dignity of each person and serving each individual as we would serve Christ Himself, advocating for a just and compassionate society according to our Catholic Social Teachings of the Church; and encouraging others to join us in fulfilling our mission.

Our Services

Hispanic Outreach

Catholic Charities serves the Hispanic population by offering a wide range of services, such as English as a Second Language for adults, translation services, case management, employment assistance, immigration clinics, citizenship services, community outreach, and support/advocacy. Food Pantry

The issue of hunger in America is a growing concern. Currently, more than 16% of children go to bed without food. To ease this pain we have partnered with Peoria Area Food Bank, as well as Midwestern Food Bank to help supply our food pantry at St. Bernard's in Peoria. To donate or volunteer contact Jack Maggiore or Sara Ramos at 309-636-8004.

Senior Services

Currently, we are offering Senior Outreach Counseling services in the area of Bloomington as well as through the Good Samaritan Program in Champaign, plus the volunteer base outreach to seniors in the Champaign area To contact for information regarding Senior Services we can be reached at 309-636-8000.
