Why did you become a seminarian?
One of the first times I ever thought of becoming a priest was during my first Emmaus Days retreat as I was going into my freshman year of high school. Before this, I had been pursuing what I thought to be good; it was at this retreat that I realized true good is only found in the person of Jesus Christ and his body the Church. Throughout the rest of high school, I kept praying and growing closer to our Lord. It was in this relationship with the Lord that He called me to seminary. Although saying, “yes” is not always easy, the Lord continues to bless my response to his call.
What did you do before seminary?
I went to Morton High School. I participated in FCA and marching/concert band. I also worked in an assisted living facility with the elderly.
An interesting fact about you:
I have a twin brother, although we look nothing alike.
