Dominic Taylor
Parish: St. Mark, Peoria
Birthdate: April 11
Seminary: Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary: Entered 2025, Class of 2032
Why did you become a seminarian?
In the churches and chapels of Madrid, I found rest and comfort for my heart. Every Mass I went to, something deep within me wanted to hold on to Jesus forever. It was as if my heart was burning for Him, to do something different and great for Him. At the thought of being a priest, God gave me great peace, but also something like a child's excitement. Starting this journey to become a priest has given me so much peace and more joy than I have ever had before.
What did you do before seminary?
Before seminary, I was getting a degree in Health Sciences at Saint Louis University to become an Orthopedic Physician Assistant.
An interesting fact about you:
During my last semester at SLU, I studied abroad in Spain. I had the opportunity to travel to 10 different countries, including the Vatican City.
